If the real goal of a war is power, business, and money, it will continue until conditions are created in which it becomes more convenient to retain power and make even more money in the post-war period.

If the aggressor’s goals in a war are existential and ideologically driven, it may appear to be a confrontation aimed at total destruction. In reality, however, it is still largely governed by the same principle: more power and more money. The difference is that wars begin according to motivated scenarios, planned timing, and available resources—but they can end at any time and in any way.

What we are witnessing now—the unfolding of a potential third world war (currently at the stage of transitioning into two regional conflicts, with a third possibly emerging soon)—does not yet have sufficient objective grounds. Rather, it is driven by domestic political, corporate, and personal interests of those who possess the resources and the ability to wage wars on behalf of their countries, and who still hope to impose their own order.

For now, this can still be stopped—or at least the historical “time of wars” can be shortened. But the world is already close to a point where quantity will turn into quality, and processes will begin that no one will be able to stop. The laws of dialectics have not been repealed.

The good news is that peace always follows war. Sooner or later.
