Cyprus showcases products at SIAL Guangzhou in China — Cyprus Mail
Cyprus showcased food and beverage products at the international SIAL Guangzhou 2026 exhibition in Guangzhou, China. The country’s participation in the event was part of efforts to strengthen trade ties with China and promote Cypriot companies and products internationally, Cyprus Mail reports.
Cyprus’ participation in the exhibition
Cyprus’ Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry took part in the exhibition in cooperation with the Cyprus Trade Centre in Beijing. The event was held from September 3 to 5 at the Poly World Trade Centre Expo exhibition centre in Guangzhou.
The exhibition brought together more than 1,500 exhibitors from 50 countries. It was also attended by more than 66,000 professional visitors from over 50 countries and regions.

Products at the Cypriot stand
At the Cypriot pavilion, visitors were informed about opportunities for cooperation with Cyprus and presented with a selection of Cypriot food and beverages. They could learn about or taste Cypriot wines, Commandaria, zivania and fruit juices.
Cypriot juices were also included in the list of products for which the exhibition organisers held special presentations. Visitors to the Cypriot pavilion included Thailand’s Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
The ministry said that participation in SIAL Guangzhou was part of efforts to strengthen commercial ties with China, expand the international presence of Cypriot companies and promote the quality of Cypriot products abroad. The event also gave companies from Cyprus an opportunity to gain greater recognition in the Chinese market.
