In Israel, 19-year-old charged over 45 TikTok reposts — Jerusalem Post
In Israel, the Southern District Prosecutor’s Office has charged 19-year-old Segev Shalom resident Deif Allah Abu Rjeila with dozens of offenses related to statements about terrorism. According to the investigation, he shared 45 items on TikTok that prosecutors allege praised Hamas, the attackers, and the October 7 massacre.
As The Jerusalem Post reports, the indictment includes 40 counts of incitement to terrorism, 23 counts of public identification with a terrorist organization, and one count of a direct call to commit a terrorist act. Some of the charges concern the same reposts.
Materials about Hamas leaders
According to the indictment, Abu Rjeila operated a public TikTok account called deef2lla, which had 877 followers and 5,449 likes. Prosecutors claim that he shared materials from April 24 until his detention on August 13, 2026, and that he did so almost every day in August.

Among the reposts, according to the prosecution, were videos of the October 7 massacre, as well as posts supporting Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar, Ismail Haniyeh, and Ahmed Yassin, and members of other Palestinian armed groups. One video, shared on June 8, allegedly praised Nukhba unit member Muin Muammar for killing 20 Israelis in 10 minutes on October 7.
Request for detention in custody
A separate count concerning a direct call to commit a terrorist act is linked to a video shared on June 3. According to prosecutors, a sermon in it presented jihad and combat operations as a religious duty and the only way to “cleanse” the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The prosecution asked the Beersheba Magistrate’s Court to keep the defendant in custody until the end of the trial. The prosecution cites the number and content of the posts, as well as TikTok records and materials from his phone, including WhatsApp correspondence, images, and a list of accounts he followed. Abu Rjeila was arrested on August 13 during a joint operation by Shin Bet, Israel Police, and the Border Police.
