China has rejected accusations that it is providing military aid to Iran and has threatened the U.S. with retaliatory measures
China has responded to reports of alleged military support for Iran, stating that such accusations are baseless. Beijing has also warned the United States of possible countermeasures should pressure continue to escalate.
This was announced by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian.
“Media reports accusing China of providing military support to Iran are completely fabricated,” he emphasized.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry representative also stated that if the United States continues its policy of raising tariffs based on such accusations, Beijing will respond with appropriate countermeasures.
In this way, China denied reports of possible military cooperation with Iran and simultaneously warned of an escalation of economic tensions in its relations with the U.S.
Earlier reports indicated that Iran likely used a Chinese reconnaissance satellite to monitor U.S. military bases in the Middle East even before the missile and drone attacks on those facilities.
Iran and the US have not yet agreed on a new round of negotiations, although both sides continue to exchange messages through intermediaries. At the same time, various options for the location of a potential meeting are being considered, but no final decision has been made.
Additionally, China has criticized the U.S. for the naval blockade of Iranian ports. Beijing believes that such actions only escalate the situation and could derail the ceasefire. The statement came after the collapse of negotiations between Washington and Tehran.
