Chinese space industry expert sentenced to 11 years in prison for espionage
In China, a space technology specialist surnamed Chen was convicted of espionage and sentenced to 11 years in prison. The man repeatedly transmitted secret documents to an agent of a foreign intelligence organization. Authorities also confiscated his illegally obtained funds and personal property.

According to the investigation, between 2018 and 2021, Chen transferred numerous internal and classified materials to a foreign agent, receiving more than 433,000 yuan (approximately $61,000) for these actions. Chen claimed he intended to compensate for losses of hundreds of thousands of yuan he suffered on the stock market.
