King Charles met with his grandchildren for the first time in four years
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex—Prince Harry and Meghan Markle—along with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, made a private visit to the United Kingdom, where they met with King Charles III and Queen Camilla. This marked the British monarch’s first meeting with his grandchildren in four years.
Prince Harry arrived in the United Kingdom on July 6, and Meghan Markle and the children joined him later. The long-awaited family reunion took place on July 10.
The meeting took place at the country residence of Highgrove in Gloucestershire, where King Charles and Queen Camilla privately welcomed Harry, Meghan, and their children.
The location was not chosen at random: the residence is situated near Oxfordshire, where the king was staying, as well as Birmingham, where Prince Harry had traveled to participate in events leading up to the Invictus Games.
The talks and family gathering took place under strict confidentiality. It is known that King Charles last saw Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet back in 2022, and met with Prince Harry in September of last year.
It is reported that Meghan Markle, Archie, and Lilibet traveled to the United Kingdom from their home in Europe. Buckingham Palace confirmed that the meeting took place but emphasized that it was a “private family event.”
No photos from the meeting are planned to be released, and palace representatives declined to comment on any further details.
Vanity Fair reports on this.
As a reminder, Prince William, the heir to the British throne, prefers a simple and balanced breakfast that is easy to prepare at home. His morning meal consists of familiar foods that provide the body with energy to start the day.
