The Kremlin has denied reports that Russian military personnel are undergoing training in China

The Kremlin has publicly denied reports of alleged Russian military training on Chinese territory, calling the information unreliable. Moscow stated that Western media often disseminate unverified information, while the Reuters report referred to possible secret agreements between Russia and China.

Moscow stated that the information about possible covert training of Russian troops in China is untrue and called for a critical approach to such reports by Western media, as this topic has already caused a significant stir in the international media landscape.

According to Reuters, the documents that journalists link to the July 2025 Russian-Chinese agreement allegedly referred to the training of about 200 Russian military personnel at facilities in China, specifically in Beijing and Nanjing, as well as possible reciprocal training of Chinese military personnel on Russian territory. “Western media often disseminate unreliable information, and such reports should be viewed critically,” said Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the report.

At the same time, neither side has officially confirmed this information, and it remains at the level of journalistic reports and analytical speculation, which currently lack public verification.

China has previously declared a neutral stance regarding Russia’s war against Ukraine, emphasizing its role as a potential mediator; however, regular contacts between Beijing and Moscow, including meetings between Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin, have kept Western analysts on high alert for any signs of military cooperation between the countries.

Russia is not using its capabilities against Western satellites due to “informal restrictions,” according to Khodakovsky.

Russia’s accusations of alleged Baltic involvement in strikes on Russian territory may be part of Moscow’s preparations for a possible opening of a second front against NATO countries

Russia has launched large-scale nuclear exercises to demonstrate its strength to Ukraine’s allies, increase pressure on NATO, and divert attention from its own failures on the front lines. This is the conclusion reached by analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
