Paul Dugan, a grandfather from Perth, Australia, has died in Bali. Indonesian police are investigating his death following an alleged attack at the One Tribe One Life Lounge and Cafe in the tourist district of Kuta, according to ABC News Australia.
The Bali Regional Police announced the man’s death on Thursday afternoon. According to media reports, Dugan was likely attacked more than two weeks ago and was taken to the hospital several days after the incident.

In an online post, Dugan’s family stated that he was brutally beaten by a group of Australians who have not yet been identified. According to his relatives, the attackers repeatedly punched and kicked him, leaving him in life-threatening condition. The family also reported that he underwent three major surgeries.
The deceased’s son, Liam Dugan, wrote on social media that he is devastated, heartbroken, and distraught. He also said that he is currently in Bali with his family. The Gosnells Soccer Club expressed its condolences to the family, describing Paul Duggan as a beloved father, grandfather, and member of the broader Gosnells community. The family lives in southeast Perth.
