In Munich, Germany, a 52-year-old Oktoberfest worker died after a serious accident on one of the festival's rides. The incident occurred on Monday evening at a free-fall tower ride, The Local Germany reports.
Circumstances of the incident
According to preliminary police information, the man was in an area where he was reportedly not supposed to be when he was struck by moving equipment. Law enforcement officials also believe that the worker may have been trapped by the mechanism.
The man was resuscitated at the scene and taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition, but later died from his injuries. Police are investigating the circumstances of the suspected workplace accident and have asked witnesses to provide information.
