A wave of Ukrainian drone attacks on Wildberries has caused preliminary losses of $1.3 billion to the Russians
It is reported that, according to preliminary estimates, the losses from the fire at the Wildberries warehouse could exceed 100 billion rubles ($1.3 billion).
It is noted that the logistics center in Elektrostal has been completely destroyed. Its area is more than twice that of the Wildberries warehouse in Shushary, which burned down in January 2024, and amounts to 215,000 square meters.
“Our goods are burning. Elektrostal is one of our main warehouses. I don’t know why entrepreneurs are always faced with this kind of ordeal. I can’t imagine why this is happening. The goods of thousands of entrepreneurs are burning there. Billions of rubles are going up in flames,” said one of the affected entrepreneurs, who still doesn’t understand the connection between the Kremlin’s attack on Ukraine and his losses.
As a reminder, the site of one of Wildberries’ largest hubs in Russia is now a charred ruin.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the strikes on the Russian Wildberries logistics center on July 18. He added that this hub was used to supply components for UAVs.
A cloud of smoke from the burning Wildberries warehouses and an oil depot blanketed the Moscow region.
On the night of July 18, Ukrainian UAVs attacked the Russian Wildberries logistics center in Elektrostal, near Moscow, and in the Tomsk region.
Reports have emerged that, prior to the attack by Ukrainian drones, the company changed its rules for compensating customers for losses. Wildberries will not issue any refunds for goods destroyed in the fires at its warehouses.
