On Sunday, strong gusts of wind swept across Romania, causing significant damage in Bucharest and 18 other counties. The storm damaged the roofs of nearly a hundred homes and knocked down over a hundred trees and power lines.
In Vaslui County, the storm led to the death of a man. Additionally, power outages were reported in several regions due to fallen trees and utility poles.

According to Romanian rescue workers, over the past 24 hours, significant damage from the storm has been recorded in 72 settlements across 18 counties and in the capital, Bucharest. Firefighters were called to 99 buildings where parts of the roofs had been torn off and cleared the areas of 106 fallen trees and 18 downed power poles.
A total of 15 vehicles were damaged. Power outages affected 138 settlements, impacting approximately 35,000 customers.
It is noted that as of Monday morning, the power issues had been resolved.
One person died as a result of collapsed building roofs and falling trees, and reports of injuries—the exact number of which has not been specified—came from the capital and 18 counties across the country.
