The Netherlands has redeployed its air defense frigate to the Strait of Hormuz to participate in an upcoming international mission to restore maritime security.
The country’s Minister of Defense, Dylan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius, announced this in an official letter to parliament. The warship is currently in the Indo-Pacific region, so it will take several weeks to reach its destination. The frigate’s redeployment is part of intensive preparations for the launch of a multinational naval mission under the joint leadership of the United Kingdom and France.
