In Britain, a Ukrainian man was sentenced to 7 years for setting fire to facilities linked to Starmer

A London court sentenced Roman Lavrinovich, a 22-year-old Ukrainian citizen, to seven years in prison for a series of arson attacks on properties linked to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

According to the investigation, in May 2025, arson attacks were carried out on a house in north London linked to Starmer, another residence where he had previously lived, and a Toyota vehicle that had previously belonged to the British politician.

The prosecution stated that the perpetrator received an offer to carry out the arson via a Telegram account. The communication took place in Russian and Ukrainian. However, the investigation did not specify who exactly was behind this account.

Along with Lavrinovich, 27-year-old Stanislav Karpyuk, a Romanian citizen born in Ukraine, was also convicted. He was found guilty of conspiracy to commit arson.

When announcing the verdict, the judge stated that the defendant was easily bribed and agreed to commit the crime in exchange for payment.
