Pakistan says more than 71 militants killed in Balochistan — Dawn
Pakistani security forces said they had killed more than 71 people described by the military as militants in the southwestern Pakistani province of Balochistan over the past 96 hours. The Inter-Services Public Relations of the Pakistan Armed Forces (ISPR) reported this, according to Dawn.
Operation in Shaban
According to the ISPR, Pakistani intelligence services identified several group hideouts in the Shaban area of Quetta district. The military claims that these groups posed a threat to the local population.
The ISPR said that during the operation in Shaban, security forces cleared several hideouts. Following intense firefights, the agency said 33 people it described as militants were killed, while weapons, ammunition and explosives were seized.
The agency added that the operation was intensified over the past 72 hours, resulting, according to its data, in the killing of another 23 militants. The ISPR said the clearing operation would continue until the threat is fully neutralized.

Operations in Noshki and Mandi
Separately, the ISPR reported an intelligence-based operation in Noshki on September 25. According to the military, they engaged militants at one of the hideouts and killed 11 people.
Another six people described by the ISPR as militants were killed in Mandi, according to the agency. It also reported the seizure of a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition.
The ISPR accused the Afghan Taliban regime of involvement in terrorist activity in Pakistan and said this activity was supported by India. Dawn cites these claims with reference to the ISPR. The agency also said that the counterterrorism campaign under the Azm-i-Istehkam concept would continue.
