On September 16, the U.S. House of Representatives will hold a final vote on a bill to strengthen sanctions against Russia. The decision is expected to be made during Wednesday’s session.
It is noted that Republican Congressman Michael McCaul stated that he will personally oversee the debate on the bill immediately before the decisive vote on the floor of the House.
“Tomorrow, I will lead the debate on the floor of the House of Representatives regarding the final passage of the Lindsey Graham sanctions bill,” McCaul said.
The bill’s co-author, Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal, also addressed the Ukrainian community. He reaffirmed his unwavering support for Ukraine and emphasized that the bill has the potential to “incinerate” Vladimir Putin’s war machine.
“We will not rest until Ukraine becomes a secure, free nation,” Blumenthal said.
