Patrushev Threatened NATO with a Swift Response Over Kaliningrad

Nikolai Patrushev, an aide to the Russian dictator, stated that Russia is allegedly ready to respond to any NATO actions regarding the Kaliningrad region.

According to him, if the Alliance attempts to carry out its “threats” in practice, Russia’s response will be “adequate and swift.”

Patrushev also called NATO an “aggressive bloc” and claimed that if military action against Russia were to begin, the Alliance would allegedly “regret its actions.”

At the same time, he asserts that Western countries will not be able to carry out their threats if they remain merely at the level of statements.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev stated that Europe should reconsider the balance of military, economic, and diplomatic tools and prioritize diplomacy in its relations with Russia. According to him, further escalation could lead to the risk of a Russian nuclear strike.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that the North Atlantic Alliance does not see an immediate threat to its territory and regards nuclear blackmail by Russia as an attempt to divert attention from its own defeats in Ukraine.
