Seven people detained during overnight police operations in Cyprus
Seven people were detained in Cyprus on Monday evening during police operations on various suspicions, including car theft, unlawful possession of property, illegal stay in the Republic of Cyprus and driving under the influence. This was reported by Cyprus Mail.
Road checks
As part of the operations, police checked 460 drivers and 109 passengers. Law enforcement officers also inspected 46 premises, after which they registered four reports of violations.
During road checks, police issued 304 notices for various traffic violations. Of these, 97 concerned speeding.

Alcohol and drug tests
Six vehicles were seized as part of the checks. Law enforcement officers also conducted 75 alcohol tests, which resulted in six notices being issued.
One positive result was recorded during a preliminary drug test.
