Victoria State Police have released a video showing a car being set on fire after a man was murdered
The Victoria Police in Australia have released surveillance footage showing the arson of a car that, according to investigators, was used to flee the scene after the murder of 21-year-old Atan Bursinos in Waller, a suburb of Melbourne.
According to ABC News Australia, Bursinos was shot shortly before 9:00 a.m. on July 31, 2025, in an alley behind a property on Champions Parade. Investigators believe he may have been the target of an interstate organized crime syndicate. According to police, the killers traveled to the state of Victoria from New South Wales and received assistance from two men from Victoria.
After the shooting, the assailants fled the scene in a Nissan Patrol. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle was found burned on Amery Street in Reservoir. Footage released by authorities shows the vehicle being set on fire, followed by a man running from the scene.
Law enforcement officials are also reviewing other surveillance footage. According to the investigation, a few hours after the shooting, the three men were seen walking away from a house, after which they got into a stolen gray Volkswagen Golf. The car drove to an address in Dallas, where the men entered a house.

Around 11:50 a.m., the men left that address in an Isuzu D-Max. Police believe the vehicle dropped off two men in Reservoir, while the other two continued on to the Glenroy area. The Isuzu D-Max was later found burned in Mickleham.
Detective Inspector Lee Haus stated that investigators need the public’s help to determine the roles and identities of the four men whom police believe were involved in the murder. According to law enforcement, two of them may be from New South Wales, and two from the state of Victoria; the latter may have assisted with booking accommodations and providing and driving getaway vehicles.
The motive for the murder has not yet been determined. Police reported that they have identified and interviewed two men whose photos were circulated in November 2025.
