Poland Is Preparing a Response to Russia's Provocations — Sikorski

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated that the country plans to become increasingly better prepared for possible provocations by Russia.

Following Russian drone attacks near the border with Poland, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that he had convened a meeting with ministers, armed forces commanders, and representatives of the intelligence services.

“It was a very thorough, serious meeting, because we see that Russia is escalating the situation, and the Polish state will respond seriously to this, which will strengthen our security,” the minister said, describing the meeting.

He added that it is still too early to discuss details, but the focus is on protecting the population and making changes to legislation.

“We are in a ‘gray zone’ of a crisis situation; we need to clarify this. We agreed that plans for various actions will be presented soon,” the minister said.

Radosław Sikorski was also asked whether, in his opinion, attacks such as the recent ones near the border with Poland would recur. “I’m afraid so, because Russia believes it can intimidate us this way. And, of course, when they are heard, it reinforces their belief in this. But they are mistaken,” he stated.

This was reported by Onet.

Sikorski had a disagreement with Navrotsky’s spokesperson regarding the ambassador to Ukraine.

Recall that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated: Russia, as an aggressor state, will face a response if it launches strikes against Ukraine’s energy system this winter.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the results of Ukraine’s long-range strikes aimed at weakening Russia’s capacity to wage war against Ukraine. In particular, Ukrainian strikes hit targets in Dagestan and Udmurtia.
