The Polish Institute of National Remembrance stated that Ukraine has granted permission to conduct exhumations at the site of the former village of Huta Peniatska. The effort involves the search for and exhumation of the remains of victims of the Volhynia tragedy.

On Thursday, the Polish Institute of National Remembrance announced that on August 18 it received information that Ukraine had granted permission to conduct exhumations at the site of the former village of Huta Peniatska near Zolochiv in the Lviv region, where residents killed in late February 1944 during interethnic clashes between Ukrainians and Poles.

During search operations in June of this year, approximately 25 burial sites were discovered at the location, including a large mass grave.

Earlier, Finland explained why it would not supply Ukraine with missiles for the Patriot systems.

As a reminder, during his first official visit to Serbia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that deliveries of interceptor missiles for the Patriot systems in 2026 would be reduced compared to 2025.
