Poland and Ukraine plan to expand their joint drone production
Poland is considering the possibility of testing its own weapons directly in combat conditions on Ukrainian territory, as well as developing joint production of drones.
This was stated by Polish Deputy Minister of Defense Cezary Tomczyk, according to Defence24.
Tomczyk emphasized that Ukraine is a unique testing ground due to its real combat experience in confronting the Russian army. According to him, such cooperation involves a two-stage model: first, testing the weapons at Polish training grounds, and later—verifying their effectiveness in real combat conditions.
“This is a true picture of what works and what doesn’t,” he noted.
Separately, Warsaw is considering expanding technological cooperation with Ukraine. As an example, the Polish side cites WB Electronics, which is already working with Ukrainian partners. Plans include scaling up such projects and exchanging technologies.
The possibility of joint drone production in Poland is also being confirmed, provided a mutually beneficial cooperation model is agreed upon.
These initiatives were discussed during events in Rzeszów, which serve as a preparatory stage for the June conference on Ukraine’s reconstruction in Gdańsk. Representatives of the defense industry from dozens of countries, including over 120 companies, are participating in the events.
Recently, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, together with the Brave1 cluster, conducted tests at a training ground of new strike FPV drones from eight domestic manufacturers.
