Former Italian Five Star Movement lawmaker Alessandro Di Battista remains under treatment in Havana, Cuba, after his health deteriorated. His return to Italy, scheduled for Friday, has been postponed.
Hospitalization in Havana
As ANSA English reports, the 48-year-old writer, activist and former member of the Five Star Movement leadership was hospitalized at the end of last month. During a trip to Cuba to work on a report, he experienced severe head pain and lost consciousness.

Change of plans
Last week, Di Battista said that he was feeling better. He had been expected to return to Italy on Friday, where he was to be hospitalized at Rome's Gemelli hospital.
However, at the last moment, due to a sharp deterioration in his condition, it was decided to return Di Battista to a hospital in the Cuban capital for surgery.
