Cyprus University of Technology enters THE top 550 — Cyprus Mail

The Cyprus University of Technology (Tepak) has entered the 501–550 group of the best higher education institutions in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027. The ranking includes 2,297 universities, placing Tepak among the top 24%.

Position improved

Compared with the previous year, the university improved its result: it was then in the 501–600 range. The current position is the highest category Tepak has achieved since 2021.

As Cyprus Mail reports, the university emphasized intensifying international competition: 2,191 institutions were included in the ranking last year, compared with 2,297 this year.

Scores by criteria

Tepak improved its performance in four of the five assessment criteria, which affected its overall result. The greatest progress was recorded in the research environment criterion.

The university also improved its results in the industry interaction and research quality criteria. For research quality, Tepak received 78.2 points and ranked 384th in the world in this indicator.
