CIMA President Alfred Ramosedi to visit Ghana in September — MyJoyOnline
Alfred Ramosedi, President of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), will visit Ghana on September 18–19, 2026. He is set to hold meetings with finance professionals, business representatives and other members of the country’s financial and business community.
As MyJoyOnline reports, Ramosedi is also co-chair of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen CIMA’s engagement with Ghana’s finance professional community and discuss the contribution of finance professionals to business and economic development amid rapid changes in the business environment.
Meetings with professionals and business representatives
During the trip, Ramosedi is expected to meet with CIMA members, CGMA students, company executives and other representatives of the finance and business sectors. With leading Ghanaian companies, he plans to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the future of business and finance.

The CIMA President will also be the guest of honour at the CGMA ceremony, where newly qualified CGMA professionals will be officially welcomed into the profession. Separately, he is expected to speak with CIMA members about changes in the profession and the role of finance specialists in achieving organisational success in Ghana and Africa. In addition, Ramosedi plans to speak with journalists from JoyNews, Joy Prime and Joy 99.7 FM.
Alfred Ramosedi’s career
Alfred Ramosedi was elected the 93rd President of CIMA and the 11th co-chair of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants on June 24, 2026. During his presidential year, he is expected to focus on shaping the future of the accounting and finance profession, strengthening trust in it, advancing the finance profession through the use of artificial intelligence and creating opportunities for a new generation of professionals.
Ramosedi has more than three decades of experience in Africa’s financial sector and professional services field. He began his career at Nedbank Limited in 1995, later worked at ABSA Bank and African Bank, and in 2017 became head of Bayport Financial Services South Africa. He has participated in CIMA’s activities as a volunteer since 1999.
