President Erdoğan says support for Palestinians remains unwavering — Anadolu Agency
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said after a Cabinet meeting in Ankara that his country would not abandon support for Palestinians and Lebanese people affected by conflicts in the region. He also said that Ankara would seek to hold accountable those whom he described as responsible for crimes against humanity.
As Anadolu Agency reports, Erdoğan linked these statements to his visit to New York for the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. According to him, he addressed the General Assembly for the sixteenth time and presented during his speech a five-component concept of a new world order based on justice, broader representation, trust and prosperity.
Statements on Gaza and the West Bank
Erdoğan said that Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which he called “state terrorism,” remain one of the main topics on Türkiye's international agenda. This is an assessment expressed by the Turkish president.

The Turkish president also said that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was unable to address the UN General Assembly in person because of visa restrictions. Erdoğan said that Türkiye would maintain its position until those responsible for crimes against humanity are brought before the law. In the same statement, he said that 74,000 people had been killed in Gaza.
Meetings in New York
During his trip to New York, Erdoğan held bilateral meetings with 17 heads of state and government. He also took part in a meeting between the United States and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council at the invitation of US President Donald Trump. There, according to Erdoğan, Türkiye outlined its vision for restoring peace and stability in the region.
Separately, the Turkish president reported on talks with representatives of US businesses regarding investment opportunities in the country. He also mentioned participation in events of the Turkish, American and Muslim communities, as well as in the closing of the 21st MÜSİAD EXPO international trade fair and the 29th International Business Forum.
