A Chinese prophet has stated that the U.S. will not defeat Iran
Chinese-Canadian scientist Xueqin Jiang, whom the media refers to as the “Chinese Nostradamus,” stated that the United States would be unable to defeat Iran in the event of a large-scale conflict. According to him, his two previous predictions regarding international events have already come true.
The professor believes that a potential confrontation between the U.S. and Iran will not end in Washington’s favor. He bases his conclusions on his own analytical calculations and assessment of the evolving geopolitical situation.
Professor Xueqin Jiang, host of an extremely popular YouTube channel, has baffled the internet with three predictions he made back in 2024.
In May 2024, Jiang made three predictions during classes at the high school where he teaches. He posted the corresponding videos on his well-known YouTube channel, Predictive History, which currently has 1.87 million subscribers.
U.S. War in Iran: Two Scenarios from “Nostradamus”
A Yale University graduate, Jiang said that Donald Trump would win the 2024 election and return to power, successfully securing a second term in the White House.
Following his prediction, he made another alarming forecast.
“If Trump does indeed become president for a second term, there is a very high probability that the United States will go to war with Iran,” he said at the time.
Jiang emphasized that one of the key reasons the United States would enter into conflict with Iran would be Israel’s interests.
The Third Alarming Prediction
Jiang’s third and final prediction, which he made in 2024, centers on America’s defeat. Considering theoretical scenarios of military action and hypothetical situations, the professor explained why any U.S. attack on Iran would prove catastrophic for the superpower.
“The third important prediction is that the United States will lose this war, which will forever change the world order,” he stated.
Sticking firmly to his three predictions, the scholar argued that Iran’s demographic and geographic characteristics would make any prolonged occupation of its territory impossible, since the Middle Eastern country’s extensive logistics networks, its powerful internal resistance, and its rugged terrain would quickly turn any initial successes on the battlefield into a catastrophic strategic failure.
“If a war between the U.S. and Iran were to break out, America would have absolutely no way of winning it,” he said at the time.
Which predictions came true in 2026
Professor Jiang appeared on the American news program “Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar,” where he shared his views on how events might unfold.
In videos posted on YouTube on March 2, the scholar explained what would happen next.
“Based on my analysis of the war’s progression, I believe Iran has far more advantages over the U.S. The reality is that a war of attrition is currently underway between the United States and Iran, and the Iranians have been preparing for this conflict for 20 years. They’ve conducted numerous training flights. The Iranians have been able to study and analyze the strike capabilities of both the Israelis and the Americans. And they’ve had plenty of time to fully prepare for this new attack,” he believes.
In his view, Iran’s allied forces—Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis—have truly come to understand the American mindset and now have a fairly effective strategy for weakening the U.S.
“What the Iranians are doing is waging war against the entire global economy,” he says.
After all, Iran is striking Gulf states and attacking their critical energy infrastructure. The scholar also emphasized that Iran has effectively blocked the Strait of Hormuz.
When asked whether the U.S. would send ground troops to Iran, the professor predicted:
“We’ve never had a president in our history who could change a regime solely from the air. You need ground troops. And so, unfortunately, over the next few months, pressure on the U.S. to send ground troops—especially from the Arab Gulf states and Israel—will increase,” he said.

The United States and Israel are holding consultations on possibly increasing pressure on Iran, specifically by blocking its land borders. This scenario is being considered as part of broader measures to limit Tehran’s capabilities.
