Trump adviser says a swift settlement with Iran may be possible — Jerusalem Post
In the United States, Sebastian Gorka, deputy assistant to President Donald Trump and senior director for counterterrorism, said that Washington still considers an agreement with Iran possible and expects to settle the confrontation in the near future. He said this in an interview with the Jerusalem Post.
Gorka did not disclose details of possible steps by the US president, but said that the Trump administration’s goals regarding Tehran have not changed. According to him, the decision on further developments depends on Iran’s spiritual leadership.
White House position
The White House representative said that Trump would not ease his demands in the event of a potential agreement with Iran. He urged people not to draw conclusions about the possible content of an agreement based on assumptions, but to assess the president’s approach by his actions.

Commenting on concerns in Israel that the United States may agree to a weaker deal, Gorka said that he does not consider such concerns a basis for forecasts. He also said that Trump’s intentions can be assessed by his public statements and posts on Truth Social.
Demands for Tehran
According to Gorka, the administration’s current position corresponds to the demands Trump outlined in a letter to Iran’s then-supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He described the letter as clear and said it addressed Iran’s nuclear program, funding for Tehran’s regional proxy forces, and the country’s activities in the Middle East.
Gorka maintains that these priorities have not changed. The Jerusalem Post announced the full interview with him for Friday.
