A flight from Beijing to Manchester made an emergency landing in Krasnoyarsk due to a technical malfunction
A Hainan Airlines aircraft operating Flight HU753 from Beijing to Manchester made an emergency landing at Krasnoyarsk Airport on August 15, 2026, due to a technical malfunction. There were more than 230 passengers on board the Airbus A330-300, according to NDTV World.
According to the publication, approximately four hours after takeoff, while the plane was flying over Siberia, sensors detected a mechanical malfunction. The crew issued an emergency alert and diverted the flight to Krasnoyarsk.

Hainan Airlines stated that the plane landed safely at 07:28 Beijing time. Russian emergency services arrived at the runway as a precautionary measure.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the aggressor state, reported that no one was injured as a result of the landing, and neither the aircraft nor the ground infrastructure sustained any damage. Hainan Airlines apologized to passengers for the inconvenience and announced its intention to send another aircraft to Krasnoyarsk to continue the flight to Manchester.
