Rosatom reported a drone attack on the Kursk NPP-2
Rosatom CEO Alexei Likhachev stated that on the night of July 6, a Ukrainian drone allegedly attacked the building housing the second power unit of the Kursk NPP-2 in the city of Kurchatov. According to him, the strike targeted the cooling tower of the facility, which is currently under construction.
He also claimed that drones were spotted near the Leningrad and Smolensk nuclear power plants, and that the Russian nuclear industry is allegedly suffering the consequences of the attacks. At the same time, local authorities stated that the plant’s operations were not disrupted and that there were no negative consequences for the environment or the population.
This is being reported by Russian propaganda media.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow is allegedly ready for negotiations to end the war against Ukraine, but sees no willingness to engage in dialogue on the Ukrainian side.
Putin is not changing course and continues to finance the war.
