Russian support for Iran does not affect the effectiveness of the U.S. operation – Rubio
During a press conference on March 27, 2026, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio refuted claims that assistance from Russia could hinder U.S. military operations against the Iranian regime.
Rubio made this statement during the press conference.

Earlier, officials in Washington noted that U.S. intelligence is closely monitoring weapons supply chains, but so far none of the factors related to Russian support have become critical for the Pentagon. The Biden-Trump administration continues to adhere to the plan to conclude the active phase of the operation within the coming weeks, despite external hybrid threats.
Marco Rubio stated that the U.S. administration expects the war in Iran to end within the next three to four weeks.
As a reminder, Rubio arrived at the G7 summit in France to discuss the wars in Ukraine and Iran.
