Video: Romanian MP Soshoake was allowed to meet Putin, she criticized the EU and aid to Ukraine
During a plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, attended by Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin, the floor was given to Diana Shoshoaque, a Romanian Member of the European Parliament and leader of the far-right party S.O.S. Romania.
It was expected that she would ask the Russian president a question, but instead, the politician turned her speech into statements supporting Putin and criticizing the European Union. She emphasized that she opposes the supply of weapons to Ukraine and also stated that, in her words, “the Romanian people do not harbor hostility toward Putin.”
In her speech, Shoshoake also expressed admiration for the Russian president and declared her support for his policies. Separately, she criticized the EU, claiming that Romania is allegedly under the influence of Brussels, and expressed hope for a change in the European Commission’s leadership.
