The son of a former Russian lawmaker has taken the helm of a chain of hardware stores seized from French owners
Denis Rizvangadzhievich Isaev, the son of former Russian State Duma deputy Rizvangadzh Isaev, was — has been appointed as CEO of Le Monlid LLC, which owns the “Lemana Pro” chain of construction stores—formerly “Leroy Merlin.” In the spring, a court, acting on a lawsuit filed by the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office, seized 18 billion rubles in assets from the elder Isaev.
Last week, by decree of Vladimir Putin, “Lemana Pro,” along with the Russian assets of “Auchan” and Nestlé, were transferred to the temporary management of L.E.V. Management LLC, headed by Major General Andrei Krayushkin of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the decree, published on September 17, foreign owners formally retain ownership rights but lose actual control over the assets.
Denis Isaev, according to registry data, is a business partner of Rizvangaji Isaev, who previously owned Krasnodar’s largest thermal power company, ATK JSC, the local Gaztransbank, and other assets in the Krasnodar Region. In December 2025, Putin also transferred the assets of the Polish-American company Canpack—one of Russia’s largest manufacturers of aluminum cans—to a structure linked to the former lawmaker.
In the spring of 2026, following a lawsuit filed by the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office, a court seized assets worth 18 billion rubles from Rizvangadzh Isaev Sr. According to the court, the case involved violations of anti-corruption laws and the misuse of his status as a deputy in obtaining state-owned land and municipal property.
His brother, Shamil Isaev, became Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan in 2015. In 2020, he was sentenced to 4.5 years in a penal colony for embezzling budget funds, and in 2022, he received an additional 16-year sentence for organizing the 2011 murder of the editor-in-chief of the independent newspaper “Chernovik.” In 2024, Isaev left prison to fight in the war in Ukraine, was wounded, and returned home.
In Russia, the “Lemana Pro” chain has 112 stores in 66 cities. According to Infoline, it holds a 27.2% share of the Russian DIY market and is the largest chain in this segment by market share.

In 2020, he was involved in a high-profile traffic accident in the Moscow region, where he struck a five-year-old boy on a crosswalk.
