Syria reports arrest of ISIS cell leader — Anadolu Agency
Syrian authorities reported the arrest of Walid al-Fallah, whom they describe as one of the leaders of a cell of the Islamic State (ISIS) group. According to Anadolu Agency, citing the state agency SANA, the arrest was carried out by Syria’s Internal Security Forces in the southern province of Daraa.
Attack in al-Sanamayn
According to Syrian security forces, the cell was involved in the deaths of three internal security personnel in the city of al-Sanamayn. They were killed on Thursday during an operation to detain a wanted suspect, when an armed group attacked a security patrol and clashed with it.

Later, the Internal Security Forces said that the group hiding in al-Sanamayn was linked to ISIS. After its members refused to surrender, security forces conducted a raid at their location.
Seizures during searches
On Friday, security forces said they had identified the cell they consider responsible for the attack. Weapons, ammunition and equipment for making explosive devices were seized from the homes of two people whom they described as leaders of the cell.
