The Social Democrats, led by Frederiksen, are in the lead ahead of the Danish elections
Denmark's Social Democratic Party, led by Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, remains in the lead in the polls ahead of the parliamentary elections.
This is reported by Bloomberg.
According to a survey by Verian, the Social Democrats could receive 21.7% of the vote. The Green Left is in second place with 12.7% support, and the Liberals, led by Troels Lund Poulsen, are in third with 12.0%.
At the same time, the poll indicates there is no clear parliamentary majority that could oppose the current prime minister. Left-leaning political forces still have a chance to keep Frederiksen in power.
Another poll, conducted by Megafon, also confirms the Social Democrats’ lead ahead of the vote.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen reacted ironically to U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement about his intention to send a large hospital ship to Greenland.
As Donald Trump’s statements regarding Greenland escalated, the Danish military considered a scenario involving the landing of American forces and prepared a limited counterplan to defend the island. According to reports, the plan involved potentially thwarting a U.S. landing in the event of an attempted takeover.
