The U.S. has offered Moscow "interesting" ideas on ending the war in Ukraine, says Ushakov
Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Kremlin chief, stated that the U.S. had allegedly made a series of “quite interesting” proposals to Russia regarding ending the war in Ukraine. According to him, none of these initiatives have been implemented so far.
Ushakov told Russian media about this.
Ushakov also added that the Americans could very well “put pressure” on Kyiv to comply with their conditions.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the U.S. had set a condition for Ukraine regarding security guarantees: the Ukrainian Armed Forces must withdraw from Donbas. According to him, such a move would jeopardize the security of Ukraine and Europe, as it would allow the occupiers to secure strong defensive positions in the region.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attributed the lack of a date for the next trilateral talks to security restrictions imposed by the American side and Russia’s unwillingness to meet in Washington.
