Cyprus court postpones ruling in Thanasis Kalogeropoulos murder case
The Limassol Criminal Court in Cyprus has postponed until October 23 its final decision on the allocation of responsibility among four men in the murder case of Thanasis Kalogeropoulos. The decision was expected on September 9, but the court was unable to issue it due to the large volume of testimony, Cyprus Mail reports, citing the newspaper Phileleftheros.
Status of the case
In February, the court established prima facie the involvement of four men aged 46, 44, 24 and 23 in the crime. This meant that the court concluded that they had contributed to the commission of the crime, while the individual degree of responsibility for Kalogeropoulos' death and the severity of the punishment were to be determined later.
According to the police investigation, the 24-year-old man is considered the organiser of the murder plan. The 44-year-old is suspected of being one of the two people who opened fire. The owner of the house where, according to investigators, the murder was planned is a 46-year-old man, while the 23-year-old allegedly rode a motorcycle.

Murder in Limassol
Kalogeropoulos was shot dead in late October 2023 in Limassol while heading for a morning swim. An autopsy showed that he was shot 10 times.
According to police, two people fired from close range from a car, using a pistol and a Kalashnikov assault rifle. After the attack, they fled, set fire to the car in which they had left the crime scene, and then disappeared on a motorcycle.
