Australian court acquits Isaac Compton in assault case
In Newcastle, Australia, a court found media personality, musician and content creator Isaac Compton not guilty of all four charges in a case involving alleged assaults and non-consensual sexual touching of two women. The decision was handed down on September 11 by Magistrate Trevor Khan at Newcastle Local Court, ABC News Australia reports.
The charges concerned a 2024 party
The 40-year-old Compton faced two charges of sexually touching another person without consent and two assault charges. In March 2025, he pleaded not guilty to all four counts at Newcastle Local Court.
Two complainants gave evidence during the two-day hearing. They alleged that in the early hours of April 7, 2024, at a house party in Islington, a suburb of Newcastle, Compton touched and assaulted them without consent.

One woman said that Compton sexually touched her leg during an alleged incident in the house's backyard. Another alleged that he touched her in an intimate area and spoke about wanting intimacy. After the women told other guests about this, Compton was asked to leave the party.
The court assessed the evidence
Magistrate Khan noted that all witnesses had consumed alcohol that evening, which should be taken into account when assessing their recollections of the events and statements to police. He pointed to inconsistencies in the women's testimony and concluded that the prosecution had not proved the case beyond reasonable doubt.
Compton denied any knowledge of the alleged assaults. According to the outlet, he sighed in the courtroom after the not-guilty verdicts were announced. Compton won the reality show The Summit in 2023 and previously worked on the ABC TV program That Blackfella Show.
