Trump announced new talks with Iran
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he is sending an American delegation to Pakistan for another round of talks with Iranian officials.
The meeting is scheduled to take place in Islamabad as early as Monday, April 20, amid a significant escalation in tensions between the two countries.
The American leader publicly accused the Iranian government of grossly violating previously reached ceasefire agreements.
The attacks on French and British ships, which the White House believes bear an Iranian fingerprint, served as the pretext for the harsh rhetoric.
The U.S. president commented on the blockage of the Strait of Hormuz, ironically noting that such actions by Iran actually play into Washington’s hands.
In his assessment, Tehran is losing about $500 million in revenue daily, while the American economy remains unscathed.
“The United States is losing nothing. In fact, many ships are now heading to the U.S., Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska to load up, thanks to the IRGC, which always wants to be the ‘tough guy’!” the U.S. president stated on his social media account.
Donald Trump issued an ultimatum to the Iranian side regarding the acceptance of a new peace agreement.
He emphasized that the proposed terms are as fair as possible, but rejecting them will lead to catastrophic consequences for Tehran.
The U.S. president directly threatened large-scale strikes on critical Iranian energy and logistics facilities.
Specifically, this involves the complete destruction of the network of power plants and bridges throughout the country should the diplomatic process fail.
“We are offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they accept it, because if they don’t, the United States will destroy every power plant and every bridge in Iran. NO MORE MR. NICE GUY! They will fall fast, they will fall easy,” the U.S. president wrote.
