Trump May Reimpose Sanctions on Russian Oil – The Guardian

The United States may soon reinstate restrictions on Russian oil as the global supply situation for this commodity improves. U.S. President Donald Trump made this statement while speaking with reporters at the G7 summit. 

The U.S. leader explained that the sanctions previously imposed on Russia’s oil sector were temporarily eased in March of this year, as Washington sought to avoid creating additional obstacles for the global energy market amid a supply shortage. 

However, the stability of oil supplies is now being restored. According to the White House, this factor will allow the U.S. administration to return to the issue of increasing economic pressure on the aggressor country at a later date.
