Trump said the U.S. would not ban diesel fuel exports following the G7 decision

Trump said the U.S. would not ban diesel fuel exports following the G7 decision

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Washington will not impose a ban on diesel fuel exports. According to him, Europe, like the United States, must make a significant contribution to ensuring the global fuel market’s supply.

The U.S. president emphasized that the U.S. has no plans to restrict diesel fuel exports. At the same time, he welcomed the decision by European countries to use their own diesel reserves to stabilize the global market.

“Europe has plenty of diesel fuel, and it will make a significant contribution to global supplies, just as we will. We will have plenty of oil,” Trump said.

He also explicitly stated that the United States would not impose an export ban.

“We will not impose an export ban,” said the U.S. president, calling Europe’s commitment to release diesel fuel reserves “a wonderful thing.”

Earlier, on October 2, the Group of Seven countries agreed to release up to 100 million barrels of crude oil and diesel fuel from emergency reserves onto the global market.

The decision was made amid rising fuel prices and under pressure from the Donald Trump administration. The goal of this move is to curb further increases in energy prices.

The G7 countries also reaffirmed their commitment not to restrict exports of energy and energy products among the “seven” nations.

In addition, the participants in the agreement called on other producers to refrain from imposing export bans that could exacerbate tensions in the global fuel market.

Thus, Washington’s position is to maintain open exports of diesel fuel, while the U.S. and European countries plan to use their own reserves to increase supply on the global market.

Trump made this statement on Friday, October 2, during a conversation with journalists, according to the Financial Times.

U.S. media outlets consider U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to invite Russian leader Vladimir Putin to the G20 summit, which will take place in Florida in December, to be morally offensive. The Wall Street Journal views this decision as one that could be seen as a kind of blessing for Russia’s continued aggression against NATO.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has not yet made a final decision regarding his participation in the G20 summit, which is scheduled to take place in December in Miami, Florida. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
