A three-meter drone was found in a forest in northern Lithuania

In Lithuania, a crashed drone was discovered in a forest near the village of Kenyalai in the Pasvalys District.

Gedrius Bronušas, head of the Panevėžys regional division of the State Forest Service, said that foresters found the drone while clearing areas with fallen trees. According to preliminary reports, the drone crashed several months ago and had already become overgrown with grass.

“The area is currently cordoned off by police; officers are on duty there, military police have arrived, and civilians are not being allowed into the area. But this drone appears to be intact; it has retained its shape, and the wings and fuselage are clearly visible,” said Bronušas.

The National Crisis Management Center received information that the drone found does not resemble either a “Shahed” or a “Geran.”

Experts must determine exactly which type of drone was found in the Pasvalys district.

According to preliminary data, the drone is about 2 meters long with a wingspan of 3.5 meters.

It cannot be ruled out that this could be the Ukrainian drone that was being searched for in May of this year, Delfi notes.

This was reported by LRT.

An explosive device was found at the site where the drone crashed in Lithuania.

Lithuania plans to send a diplomatic note to Belarus following the incident involving a drone that entered Lithuanian airspace on the night of September 15 and was shot down by NATO fighter jets.
