On September 27, Türkiye honored Azerbaijani soldiers who died in the struggle for Karabakh on the occasion of Azerbaijan’s Remembrance Day. This was reported by Anadolu Agency.

Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, in a post on the Turkish social platform NSosyal, called the struggle for the liberation of Karabakh one of the most powerful examples of courage, self-sacrifice, and love for the homeland etched into recent history.

He honored the memory of Azerbaijanis who, according to him, gave their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of their homeland. Duran also expressed gratitude to veterans.

Relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan

In his statement, the official mentioned the principle of “two states, one nation,” emphasizing the close ties between Türkiye and Azerbaijan. He wished that the mutual affection, shared history, and brotherhood of the two countries, which, according to him, are together in joy and sorrow, would last forever.
