Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has expressed concern over the situation regarding transit through the Strait of Hormuz.
This was reported by Reuters.
According to him, the strait should be opened through diplomatic channels after negotiations between the U.S. and Iran failed to yield results.
Fidan emphasized that no one is interested in turning the Strait of Hormuz into a theater of war.
He also noted that the idea of involving international military forces to restore shipping faces many challenges, particularly due to the reluctance of many countries to participate in such an operation.
In addition, the minister pointed to the risks of new transit restrictions, particularly from Iran, which may intensify its activities in the region.

The US and Iran have begun negotiations with Pakistan’s participation.
The US announced the start of demining operations in the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, US military ships have passed through the strait for the first time since the start of the war without Iran’s approval.
Negotiations between the US and Iran have begun to move forward. Tehran stated that Washington had allegedly agreed to unfreeze a portion of Iranian assets, but there has been no official confirmation from the American side yet.
