Yemen says it uncovered IRGC plan concerning the Bab el-Mandeb Strait
Yemen’s National Resistance Front forces said they had obtained intelligence and military maps that allegedly indicate a phased plan by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to advance toward the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. This was reported by The Jerusalem Post, citing Iran International and a statement by Yemeni military media.
Data from a Houthi commander’s laptop
According to the military, the information was discovered on the laptop of a Houthi commander captured by government forces in western Yemen. They said the man was responsible for Houthi operations.
The Republic Network, affiliated with the National Resistance Front, also released images of military maps. According to its version, they mark four stages of an advance toward the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the city of Hodeidah, as well as elements of Houthi military plans and movements.

Reports on the situation in Mocha
Three Yemeni government officials opposed to the Houthis told Reuters that the Houthis had taken control of the Red Sea port city of Mocha. The city is located less than 50 miles from the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
Arab media previously reported that government forces left Mocha in the morning during the Houthi advance. Photos and videos of Houthi fighters in the city were also posted on social media.
At the same time, the National Resistance Front said that a military contingent commanded by one of its commanders entered Mocha in the morning. According to the front’s media outlet, the forces are reorganizing and strengthening the city’s defenses in coordination with the anti-Houthi coalition, and have also clashed with Houthi naval forces.
