Former Deputy Attorney General Joseph Kpemka questioned in Ghana over BOST
In Ghana, the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) questioned former Deputy Attorney General Joseph Dindiok Kpemka over the activities of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST). After the questioning, he was granted bail, so at the time of publication he was not in EOCO custody.

As MyJoyOnline reports, Kpemka was invited to EOCO on Thursday, September 10, 2026. The agency did not officially comment on the situation, but sources familiar with the events confirmed to the publication that he was questioned and later granted bail.
The specific issues for which Kpemka was invited to EOCO were not publicly disclosed. One MyJoyOnline source said that the former official had committed no wrongdoing in connection with the situation. According to the publication, the investigation into matters related to BOST is ongoing.

Kpemka’s previous positions
Joseph Dindiok Kpemka previously served as Deputy Managing Director of BOST. Then-President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo appointed him to the position in May 2024.
Kpemka was also a member of parliament for the Tempane constituency in Ghana’s Upper East Region. He won the parliamentary election there in 2016 but lost the 2020 election. Under the Akufo-Addo administration, Kpemka served as Deputy Attorney General.
Investigations involving former officials
Kpemka’s invitation to EOCO came amid investigations into the actions of some former government officials on suspicion of financial and other violations. MyJoyOnline did not report that formal charges had been brought against Kpemka.
