China-Africa biodiversity protection program held in Kenya
A China-Africa biodiversity conservation exchange program was held in Kenya, bringing together officials, experts, researchers and students from China, Kenya and Tanzania. Participants taught young people how to protect wildlife and the environment, ECNS reports.
Monitoring lions and rhinos
Kenyan specialists spoke about the use of GPS collars, tracking tags and infrared cameras to monitor lions and rhinos. According to them, these technologies help reduce conflicts between people and wild animals.
The young participants attended sessions of the China-Africa Youth Program on Biodiversity Conservation and Climate Change Adaptation.

Exchange of experience and equipment
Liu Ming, deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau, shared the city's experience in biodiversity conservation. He also called for closer cooperation between China and African countries in developing environmental solutions adapted to local conditions.
Peter Sankei, chairman of the Maasai Mara National Reserve, expressed hope for expanded cooperation with China in environmental technologies and the exchange of specialists. The event also featured the “City of Eagles” exhibition on the protection of migratory birds of prey in Chongqing, educational activities for young people, and the transfer of wildlife monitoring equipment to local conservation organizations.
