Latvia expects warming to 20 degrees after a rainy week — LSM English
Latvia is forecast to see frequent rain and lower temperatures this week, but weather may become dry, sunny and considerably warmer at the end of September and the beginning of October. This was reported by LSM English.
Rain and cooler days
On Tuesday, only light and local precipitation is expected in most parts of the country. At the same time, prolonged rain will begin in Latgale in the afternoon. During the rest of the working week, precipitation is forecast across Latvia, with heavy rainfall in some places.
The greatest amount of precipitation this week is expected in Latgale and Sēlija, from 40 to 60 millimeters. In other parts of the country, mainly 10 to 30 millimeters of rain is forecast.

Warming at the end of September
On Tuesday, air temperatures will still reach between +13 and +17 degrees. From Wednesday to Friday, daytime temperatures will range from +10 to +15 degrees, while nighttime temperatures will range from +7 to +13 degrees.
Over the weekend, the sky will clear more often, there will be less rain, and temperatures will rise slightly. Next week, a powerful high-pressure area is forecast to form over the region. In the final days of September and at the beginning of October, temperatures may reach +20 degrees or slightly exceed this mark on some days.
