Hospitals in Russia are cutting salaries and eliminating bonuses for medical staff due to a lack of funds
In a number of Russian regions, healthcare workers are complaining about pay cuts and the elimination of incentive payments amid budget shortfalls.

According to the resource, payment issues have been reported, in particular, in the Kurgan, Vladimir, and Omsk regions, as well as in Tuva.
Medical professionals report a 20–30% reduction in income, as well as the cancellation of bonuses for increased workloads. In Kurgan, operating room nurses at the emergency hospital announced their intention to resign due to a “critical” reduction in salaries—according to them, in February they received approximately 10,000 rubles less than the base rate of 50,000 rubles.
The accounting department explained this by saying that the medical facility “did not meet its targets,” but did not provide any details. At the same time, employees emphasize that they are working under excessive strain due to staff shortages.
Hospital management promised to look into the situation, but some employees have already submitted their resignations.
According to medical staff, similar cases are being reported in other regions, where payments have also been reduced since the beginning of the year.
