A Russian drone carrying explosives was discovered in Moldova: Sandu declared a violation of sovereignty

Moldovan President Maia Sandu reported that the drone found near the village of Tudora on March 17 was equipped with explosives.

She wrote about this on X.

According to her, the incident constitutes a serious violation of the country’s airspace and poses a threat to citizens.

“The Russian drone discovered today in the Moldovan village of Tudora was found to be carrying explosives. This is a serious violation of our airspace and a threat to our citizens,” Sandu stated.

She emphasized that such actions constitute yet another violation of Moldova’s sovereignty by the Russian Federation.

In southern Moldova, border guards discovered debris from an unmanned aerial vehicle, which, according to preliminary data, may be a Russian “Shahed”-type kamikaze drone. The drone had previously been spotted in the country’s airspace.

The Moldovan Foreign Ministry presented a Russiandiplomat with a bottle of water from the Dniester River.
