Nicosia to host social inclusion workshops — Cyprus Mail
In Nicosia, Cyprus, creative psychosocial workshops titled Finding Our Common Ground will be held every Monday from October 5 to November 30, 2026. The initiative is aimed at the social inclusion of people from different cultural backgrounds and uses art, play-based practices and cultural heritage as tools for communication, mutual understanding and building connections.
Cooperation between the foundation and the Red Cross
The sessions are organised by the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation as part of the multisensory Aisthisis programme in cooperation with the Cyprus Red Cross Society. The project is part of a series of standalone creative psychosocial workshops intended to promote the equal participation of newly arrived people and vulnerable groups in cultural life.
As Cyprus Mail reports, participants will be offered a safe space where they can learn more about Cyprus, share elements of their own cultural identity and find common ground with people from different countries and cultures.

Programme and registration
Each session will last 120 minutes, from 10:00 to 12:00, at the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation, located at 86–90 Phaneromenis Street, Nicosia. The programme includes an interactive visit to the Cyprus Insula – History, Memory, Reality exhibition, cultural exchange activities and a practical art workshop during which participants will create their own works.
The workshops will be held in English, although interpretation into other languages may be arranged depending on the needs and composition of the group. Transportation for participants will be provided by the Cyprus Red Cross Society. To register, call the society at 22504407.
The sessions will be led by registered art psychotherapist and visual artist Eleni Petridou Bouriti. Support for the project’s implementation will be provided by Nikos Papadopoulos, a sociologist and psychosocial support specialist at the Cyprus Red Cross Society.
